Sig is short for Sigthor. I was born and raised in the city of Reykjavik, Iceland but for the past two decades I have lived and worked as a photographer in Los Angeles, California. Traveling back to Iceland each year I began to experience the country as a visitor might, taking in its raw beauty, and seeing the land like never before. It was upon one of those visits that the Bare Landscapes project began, when I started photographing, and appreciating what I had taken for granted for so long. What is unique about the Bare Lanscapes images is that human element, an exploration of the two bodies, that of the land and the female form.

Bare Landscapes is also a collection of pure Landscape images, many of from Iceland. The land of extremes, light and dark, fire and ice, sun and shadows. I am always adding to the collections and have expanded it to include urban landscapes that I find interesting.

Still lifes include my passion for beautiful photography lighting. This is where I can arrange and light subject in a beautiful and interesting light.
